In the same civil administration we find the same person with the same birthdate mentioned as Beletje Polak. In the marriage act of October 20th 1852 we see that Isaac Abraham Velleman married to Beletje Polak. In the marriage act is only the mother of Beletje Polak mentioned as Rebecca Polak. Research in the archives of Amsterdam showed that the official birth act of Beletje Polak has been made in 1852 just before her marriage. It is clear that Beletje Polak is a child of an unmarried mother. Probably the mother Rebecca Polak had been living together with a member of the Droomer family and that for that reason the child was known as Beletje Droomer. Maybe it was was also the name of the unknown father. Conclusing has to be that Beletje Polak and Beletje Droomer are one and the same person. See in book S 1-1, page 27 that it she is one and the same person. |
