Event: event MRT 1789 Amsterdam On 5 Adar 5549 the trustees of the jewish community make a visit to Nathan ben Perets Frank, who is ailing in his bed; they find him open-minded & well-spoken & in good senses, and he states the following:
in order to keep the peace between his sons and daughters, he now wishes to disattach himself from his estate, which he will leave behind, according to the conditions and ways mentioned in the following:
1) his spouse Rechla bat Zoes Cohen-Kloot will have power on all house-utensils, beds and bedsheats etc. all her life days; and after her decease these utensils will fall to his youngest daughter the maiden Chayale;
2) his own clothes and outfit will fall to his 2 sons Leib & Zoes, and will be divided between them equally
3) the boat which supplies water, and the income coming thereof will be divided into 4 parts, i.e. half of it will belong to his wife Rechla, 1 quarter to his oldest daughter Mirjam, wife of Itsak ben Leib Rokkestikker, and 1 quarter to his youngest daughter Chayale, and both daughters will trouble themselves with exploiting this, making an income from it and dividing that according to the rules;
after the decease of my wife Rechla, her two parts of the income will also fall to my 2 daughters; against this my 2 daughters will between them give any of their 2 brothers Leib & Zoes the amount of fl. 100,-,and here with they obtain total reign of the boat and its handling; and with this all sons and daughters have no further demands on the estate.
